One month later – it happened with another one of my credit cards. This particular credit card I use more often but with only a few vendors and grocery stores. What happened here? It appeared that most of the purchases that were made were small and were done online (I think). One was even a dollar donation to a blood bank!! How generous of this thief!

My concern is now raised! What other information of mine did these people get their hands on? I still plan to use my credit cards. My behavior already is cautious but how are these people getting a hold of my private information? For my safety and sanity I decided to look into fraud protection. I looked at a few and decided on Life Lock. For $99 I get $1M fraud protection, lost wallet protection, credit report monitoring and protection, black market protection, credit card protection and elimination of junk mail. I call it sanity. Too bad we now have to carry insurance on our name but that is what it has come down to…

This is yet another scam that continues to flood our mail boxes.  The link takes you to some cosmin.tutunaru.or  website.  That would be your first clue that this has nothing to do with an IRS refund.  That and the fact that we know IRS doesn’t have our email address.   I couldn’t get the link to the site to work but I imagine they would ask for your personal information – like SS#.

If they sound too good to be true it is…  This “job” surely involves you accepting payments in your bank account – the check bounces months later and you are left covering the funds.   “Jobs” and offers like these continue to pour in our mailbox.  We will post them as they are starting to provide some humor for us and may save an unknowing victim from getting involved.   Below is the description of the job and below that is the email sent from Craigs list.  Job hunter beware!!
